Walk to End Lupus Now – 15th Anniversary Event

Clinical Research of West Florida (CRWF) is proud to support the 15th Annual Walk to End Lupus Now hosted by the Lupus Foundation of America. This community event offers an important opportunity to raise awareness, show support for those affected by lupus, and contribute to advancing research and education efforts.

Event Overview

The Walk to End Lupus Now is designed to bring together individuals, families, and organizations who are passionate about finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for lupus. The event raises critical funds to support the Lupus Foundation of America’s work in research, advocacy, patient support, and public education.

This is a free event, open to all, with fundraising encouraged. Participants can register individually or as part of a team, create their own fundraising pages, and invite friends, family, and coworkers to join the cause.

  • Location: Gadsden Park – 6901 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33611
  • Schedule:
    • Check-in: 10:00 AM
    • Warm-Up: 10:25 AM
    • Opening Ceremony: 10:30 AM
    • Warrior Ribbon Ceremony: 10:40 AM
    • Walk Start: 10:45 AM (1-mile route)
    • Wrap Party: 11:30 AM

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and incorporate the color purple to show solidarity with the lupus community.

Warrior Ribbon Ceremony

A new tradition is being introduced at this year’s event: the Warrior Ribbon Ceremony. This symbolic moment will honor those living with lupus, recognizing their strength and perseverance. Lupus warriors will carry a ribbon to the start line, representing both their personal journey and the community support that surrounds them.

  • Fundraise: Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support lupus research and patient services. Incentives are available for both individual and team fundraising efforts.
